Depart

Begin your vacation with a pleasant flight to Colombo, the gateway to Sri Lanka. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel.

COLOMBO - DAMBULLA

Embark on a drive-thru Colombo City Tour to see the popular Khan Clock Tower at the entrance to Pettah's bustling streets; the Fort Railway Station; the photogenic Red Mosque — one of the oldest mosques, and the symbolic Lotus Tower.
Depart for Dambulla, which sits at the northern tip of the Central Province, surrounded by hills, lakes and valleys.
Explore the ancient Dambulla Cave Temple, adorned with statues of Buddha and murals, and enjoy the stunning views of the valley below.

DAMBULLA - SIGIRIYA - MATALE - KANDY

Rise early for photos of the iconic Sigiriya Lion Rock, a massive ancient stone fortress perched on top of a mountain. You may consider purchasing an optional ticket to climb the stone stairways and see the breathtaking frescoes, royal gardens, and the ruins of a 5th century palace fortress (at your own expense).
Depart for Matale and take a stroll through the lush Spice Gardens, where the air is filled with the fragrances of cinnamon, cardamom and pepper.
Continue our journey to Kandy, a delightful city of chaos with bustling streets, ancient temples, colonial architecture, elegant gardens and the glorious Kandy Lake. Take a drive-through Kandy City Tour, which includes the Upper Lake Drive, Market Square and the Gem Museum.
Visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, one of Buddhism’s most sacred sites. Marvel at the temple’s golden roof and intricate carvings as you experience the deep spiritual atmosphere of this living cultural landmark.
Later, witness the vibrant Kandy Cultural Dance Show, a captivating showcase of traditional music, rhythmic drumming and graceful movements.

KANDY - NUWARA ELIYA

Tea Plantations

Journey to Sri Lanka's hill-country retreat, Nuwara Eliya, known as the "Little England". Sit at 1,868m above sea level, the area is known for its cool climate and sprawling tea plantations. It has a colonial-era charm, with historic architecture, the 1894 Post Office, and the famous Grand Hotel.
En route, visit a Tea Plantation & Factory to learn the process of making world’s finest tea while you enjoy the beautiful landscape.
On arrival in Nuwara Eliya, take a leisurely stroll around serene Gregory Lake, the picturesque centrepiece of the town. This gentle walk provides amazing views and an opportunity to browse the local stalls or simply relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Visit a Strawberry Farm, where you can wander through rows of plants and pick fresh seasonal strawberries (valid from Oct to May only).

NUWARA ELIYA - ELLA - YALA

Bridges

Embark on an exciting journey aboard a scenic train ride from Nanu Oya Station through the heart of Sri Lanka's hill country to the beautiful town of Ella, a picturesque, laid-back mountain village located in the Central Highlands.
After lunch, we will travel to Yala, renowned for its incredible biodiversity and home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.
En route, stop for photos at Rawana Waterfall, where the flowing waters plunge dramatically amidst verdant surroundings.

YALA - WELIGAMA - MIRISSA

Stilt Fishermen

Get up early and collect your packed breakfast before we set off on a morning game drive in Yala National Park, a stunning wildlife reserve boasting one of the world's densest leopard populations. Return to the hotel afterwards to freshen up before check out.
En route, stop at Weligama, where you may opt to tip the Fisherman on Stilt for photos (at your own expense).
Onwards to Mirissa, a laid-back beach town on the southern coast famous for its golden sands, fresh seafood and seasonal whale watching. You may choose to join an optional whale-watching trip the next morning (at your own expense).
Visit Coconut Tree Hill, a stunning coastal viewpoint where you will find tall palm trees standing on a red-clay cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean.

MIRISSA - GALLE - COLOMBO ✈ SINGAPORE

Galle Old Town & Galle Fort

Depart for Galle and join a guided walking tour of Galle Fort, a fortified old city founded by Portuguese colonists in the 16th century. The Dutch expanded the stone sea walls, which encircle car-free streets whose architecture reflects the periods of Portuguese, Dutch and British rule. Notable buildings include the 18th century Dutch Reformed Church and the Galle Lighthouse. Then, enjoy some free time to shop or simply explore.
Journey to Hikkaduwa and hop on a glass-bottom boat ride to marvel at the vibrant coral reefs and marine life through the crystal-clear water.
Return to Colombo for a Chinese Dinner with Crab before we bid farewell to Sri Lanka with a transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore. We hope that you have had an enjoyable time with SA Tours!
