  • Izumo Taisha Shrine, one of Japan’s most important shrines, is a sacred gathering place believed to unite all Japanese deities.
  • Inasa Beach, selected as one of Japan’s top 100 beaches and a designated heritage site, features “Bentenjima” — a tiny shrine on a rocky islet dedicated to a female sea deity guarding seafarers across the Sea of Japan.
  • Iwami Ginzan Silver Mine (UNESCO World Heritage Site) was established in the early 16th century and operated for nearly 400 years.
  • Townscape of Omori, home to around 450 residents, is lined with beautifully preserved old houses, samurai residences, shops, shrines, temples, and historical sights.
