6D NORTH THAILAND ESCAPADE

Assemble at Terminal 2 for your flight to Chiangmai, upon arrival embark onto a “Tuk Tuk” & explore the ancient city of Chiangmai. Take in the sights of Thapae Gate, 3 kings' monuments & countless golden pagodas & temples. Next transfer for a deserving dinner on a wooden boat, sail down the Ping river while you tuck in some traditional Thai cuisine. After dinner we will be checking into a local hotel for a good rest.

Dinner

After breakfast, be ready for our trip up north to Chiangrai. En-route, we will be making a light photo stop of a hot spring geyser before arriving at Chiangrai, lunch stop will be at Singa Park tea plantation, from the top you will have a lush & green view of the tea plantation, the famed White Temple will be our next stop, this imposing temple was constructed by a local artist in 1997, but was partially damaged during the 2014 earthquake. Are you ready for some tea at Lalitta Cafe on our next stop? This cafe is one of the most talk about cafe in North Thailand, surrounded with exotic florals & cascading waterfalls. After which checking in to our hotel in the city for the next two nights.

A full day visiting the countryside of Chiangrai. The Blue Temple is another architectural marvel of Thailand by a local artist Sala Nok, completed in 2016. Next is the “Long neck” village, where the local ladies wearing numerous brass rings on their neck, is unique to this indigenous tribe originated from Myanmar. A leisure drive to the Golden Triangle, a short boat ride will be arranged & sail down the Mekong River, where you will see the 3 countries co-exit Laos, Myanmar & Thailand, a thriving port for opium's till 1975 where Thailand ceased the production & trading of this ancient drug. A DIY session is next on the itinerary, where you will learn how to create a water lantern by yourself, and you may release it onto the water after completion for blessing & good luck.

A leisure drive today to Chiangmai. Upon arrival, we will be visiting the traditional craft that is synonymous to Thailand, traditional oil parasols making, understand about the making & painting of this unique parasol only the local knows how. Follow by a stopover in a local pottery factory and have a look at all these craftsmen producing fine crockery for the royal families during the Lanna Kingdom period. Tonight, we will be having a delightful Thai dinner in a traditional Lanna Thai pavilion. After dinner you may visit the night bazaar nearby your hotel after check in & having some fun bargaining for your purchases.

Today will be designates as a free & easy day, you may visit the local market place for some last minute shopping sprees or perhaps book a session of traditional Thai massage for some relaxation.
