OVERVIEW


Alaska, the last frontier!  It is here where one can truly see vastness in terms of land and nature.  Visiting season in Alaska starts from May to September.  One of the routes for an Alaska Cruise is The Inside Passage.  This route boasts wildlife-filled fjords and lush island scenery - habitats for bald eagles, sea lions, and whales.  The capital of Alaska, Juneau is also located along the northern end of the passage.  The highlight here would be Glacier Bay National Park, where you will be able to witness and view up to 16 dynamic tidewater glaciers which flows down from the surrounding mountains.  


Canadian Rockies - consisting a few of the world's best picturesque location, the Canadian Rockies will provide you with breathtaking view of Alpine peaks, turquoise lakes, lush greenery, deep valleys and towering waterfalls.  Located along the Alberta - British Columbia (BC) border, this network of mountain ranges consists of multiple national parks which include Banff National Park, Jasper National Park, Lake Louise, Canmore, Waterton.

Explore the Microsoft Headquarters’ exhibition centre, situated in Redmond and founded by none other than Bill Gates himself. Next, head to the renowned Fisherman’s Wharf, the Olympic Sculpture Park, and the famous Pike Place Market. As the afternoon approaches, cross the U.S./Canada border to enter Canada. After dinner, transfer to the hotel for the night.

DAY 2 - 7 MAY 2024: VANCOUVER – Cruise Embarkation

In the morning, start your day by exploring the Horticultural Jewel - Queen Elizabeth Park, a highly frequented park known for its exquisite public gardens. Afterwards, proceed to discover Stanley Park, an expansive 1001-acre park situated along the edge of downtown Vancouver. This park is surrounded by the waters of Vancouver Harbor and English Bay and holds the distinction of being Vancouver’s original park, named in honor of Lord Stanley. Notably, in 2014, it was designated the “Top Park in the World” by Trip Advisor. While there, you can enjoy not only the picturesque beaches and indigenous Indian Totem Poles, but also ascend to a viewpoint offering breathtaking vistas of the splendid Harbor, the Lions Gate Bridge, and the charming West Vancouver. Subsequently, make your way to the cruise ship terminal where you’ll begin your journey aboard the Cruise Ruby Princess, setting sail for the Alaskan adventure that awaits.

Visit Vancouver’s horticultural jewel, Queen Elizabeth Park, one of the most visited parks and holds within its perimeters some of the most beautiful public gardens. The seasonally changing and beautifully planted Quarry Gardens astound people whether viewed from the park’s upper reaches or from the bottom looking up. Proceed to Granville Island, a shopping district known for its public market, brewery and thriving artist community, it is a great place to taste local delicacies with the locals. Here, enjoys lunch on your own. In the afternoon, visit Stanley Park, a 1001-acre park that borders downtown Vancouver, surrounded by waters of Vancouver Harbor and English Bay. It is Vancouver’s first park, named after Lord Stanley. In 2014, it was named “Top Park in the Entire World’’ by TripAdvisor. At the park, besides visiting the beautiful beaches and the local Indian Totem Poles, we’ll also head up to the viewpoint to see magnificent views of the beautiful Harbor, Lions Gate Bridge and West Vancouver. Proceed to visit the national historic site in Vancouver - Gastown, where you can see the landmark of the city – Steam Clock. After dinner, transfer to the hotel for the night

Upon arriving in Whistler, we’ll be welcomed by a compact, chalet-style pedestrian village nestled at the base of Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. This hub is the heart of the town, exuding a romantic charm that captivates visitors. During our time in Whistler, we’ll have the opportunity to explore the beautiful town, and along the way, we’ll be treated to more picturesque scenery. After a memorable day, we’ll return to Vancouver before dinner, cherishing the memories of our scenic adventure.

Juneau is the capital city of Alaska, located at the foot of grand mountain peaks on the Gastineau Channel. Juneau has the massive Mendenhall Glacier and the Juneau Ice field at its back door. A shore excursion tour (at your own expense) to the Mendenhall Glacier is recommended. Besides the beautiful blue colour, if you are lucky, you may see bears catching the salmon from the stream just beside the bus parking area. Cruise will stop here for the whole day. You may take a stroll in the amazing city in the afternoon.

With an area of 1.2 km², the lake’s waters flow into the Athabasca River through the 2 km long Pyramid Creek. As we continue onward to Jasper National Park, the peak elevations grow, culminating with Mount Robson, the highest of Canada’s Rockies at 3,962 meters. Visit the town of Jasper. Winding down the western fringe of Alberta, our journey takes us through some of the Canadian Rockies’ most breathtaking wilderness. Our first highlight today is a stop at the Columbia Icefield to experience the Ice Explorer (Snow Coach), an all-terrain vehicle that travels on the ice of Athabasca Glacier measuring 305 meters thick. Precipitous gorges, snowcapped mountain ranges, and lakes of exquisite blues and greens come into view as the motorcoach scales two mountain passes on the journey south to Banff. On the way, visit the beautiful Peyto Lake, Bow Lake and Crowfoot Glacier. Banff is one of Canada’s favourite year-round resorts. Our visit starts with the Bow River waterfall, then the Surprising Corner to view the fairytale like scenery of the hot spring hotel. Stop at Banff. You can take a leisurely stroll along the British-styled streets. This will give you an unforgettable memory of the romantic Rocky Mountain tour.
