REMARKS:

  • Sequence of itinerary may change due to limitation of glass igloos, domestic flights, or weather conditions.
  • Northern Lights is a natural occurring phenomenon, we cannot guarantee the appearance due to weather conditions.
  • Snow activities are subject to weather conditions. Should King Crab Safari including snowmobile cannot take place due to insufficient snow, there will be a refund of 150euro LGE Voucher per person. Husky sledge ride will be replaced by Husky Cart ride / shorter distance. There will be no refunds for Winter Horse, Reindeer Farm visit.
  • Lapland Hotels has no star grading – equivalent will be provided.
  • Weather condition in Lapland is very unpredictable, roads and attractions may close at short notice, we will proceed with the alternative routings in such scenarios based on the best possible situation.
  • Tour Manager during peak season may not fly together with group, however a check in staff will be allocated and Tour Manager will meet the group upon arrival.
  • Some accommodations may not have specific twin or double room types.
  • Glass Igloo pictures are for illustration purposes only, do check with your sale consultant on the actual Igloo you will be using.
  • Northern Light Hunting is dependent on KP index and weather forecast, your tour manager will make the decision to proceed depending on the above 2 conditions.

ITINERARY

  • Assemble at Changi Airport for your long-haul flight to Helsinki, Finland.

Meals On Board

  • Transit to Rovaniemi - Considered to be the home of Santa Claus.
  • Visit to Santa Claus Village where you will have an opportunity to post a postcard from the Main Post Office. All postcards sent from there will get a special Arctic Circle Stamp on them.
  • Collect an Arctic Circle Certificate with your name.
  • Photo opportunity with Santa Claus.
  • Ride a traditional horse sledge (400m), pulled by instructor and understand the life and habits of an Irish Cob.

1. Northern Light Hunting by tour manager. A walk of about 15 minutes is required.

Dinner

  • Excursion to the Ranua Wildlife Park (World’s Northern Most Zoo) which consist of approximately 50 wild animal species and 200 individuals. You will have the chance to be in close contact with the various Nordic and Arctic animals like bears, reindeers, wolves, gluttons, lynxes, moose, birds, polar bear etc.
  • A ranger will guide you and explain to you with in depth knowledge of the different Arctic animals.
  • Husky Dog Farm (7km) - Meeting the dogs and have a closer look at them. The guide tells you about their life habits and particular features of the husky dogs. The culmination of the tour is a ride in a dog sledge.
  • Transfer to your Deluxe Glass Resort with attached bathroom for your overnight stay. If you are lucky, the Northern lights will be swirling above you tonight.

2. Tonight you will hunt the Northern Lights on your own

  • You may want to do a thermal suit and join an ice fishing experience or get some Lapland souvenirs

  • Cross the border and transfer to Norway.
  • With our very experienced guide, we will go on a snowmobile safari to the Siberian taiga forest in the Pasvik valley.

4. As we hunt the Northern lights, we will also have an opportunity to see how a King Crab is caught.

  • We end the safari with an 1 hour eat-all-you-can King Crab served the Norwegian way with Mustard and wine.

  • Transfer to Reindeer farm in the late morning.
  • Our wonderful Sami guide will teach you about all the characteristics of their reindeers.
  • Hands on experience to feed the Reindeers.
  • Ride the traditional Reindeer Sledge (400m).

  • Transfer to Abisko to board our Arctic Circle Train to Narvik - Europe most Northern train station.
  • The train line was initially opened to carry iron ore from Kiruna to Narvik and is widely used by the locals and tourists.

  • An exciting day awaits you as you journey from Narvik to to Svolvaer which is the perfect base from which to explore Norway's captivating Lofoten Islands. The statue of Fiserkona, the fisherman's wife, stands at the harbour entrance against a backdrop of cod drying racks, giving visitors a taste and smell of the town's seafaring roots.

  • Today we travel deeper into Lofoten Island with a visit to its most scenic and photographed fishing village - Reine. With its idyllic location, tucked in between fjords and tall mountains, with a shoreline dotted with red and yellow fishermen’s cabins, Reine is a must-see when visiting Lofoten.
  • Short drive to the World shortest name Village - Å which is also the southern -most village in Lofoten.
  • Overnight at Harstad Region.

  • A very scenic drive through various fjords brings us to the largest city of Northern Norway - Tromso is widely regarded as the home of Northern Lights with frequent sightings
