DAY 1
Your vacation begins with a pleasant flight to Taipei – The Capital of Taiwan. Upon arrival, take a HSR (bullet train) ride to Hsinchu. Overnight stay at Lakeshore Hotel (or similar). (Please bring along your swim wear and cap to enjoy the hotel facilities.) (Meals on board / Dinner at hotel)
DAY 2
This morning, get set for a jam packed day of fun and excitement at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village Theme Park. Experience the essence of Taiwan indigenous culture at the tribes and villages, ramble in the various theme flower gardens at European Palace Garden, and challenge your spirit of adventure at the amusement isle. In the afternoon, be mesmerized by the beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake. We will visit the famous Wenwu Temple that was built to commemorate “Confucius” and “Kuan Gong”. Thereafter, proceed to Fengjia Night Market in Taichung and indulge in a wide variety of local snacks. Overnight stay at Howard Prince Hotel Taichung (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch: Sun Moon Lake aboriginal cuisine)
DAY 3
Start the day with a visit to Fo Kuang Shan Monastery - the Buddhist centre of Taiwan. After lunch, explore more on the culture and art of making traditional paper umbrellas at Meinong Hakka Village. Then, proceed to Dream Mall where it has the only outdoor mammoth Hello Kitty Ferris Wheel in Taiwan (at your own expense). Thereafter, we will drive pass Love River. Overnight stay at Grand Hi-lai Hotel (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch)
DAY 4
This morning, continue our journey to Donggang. As the biggest fishing port in south Taiwan, Donggang is exceptionally rich in Bluefin tuna resource. Next, we will embark on a cruise at Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area. The bay is the biggest lagoon on the southwest coastline of Taiwan, with a total area of 532 square hectares. It used to be a large-sized oyster bed in the Donggang area with abundant seafood resources. Tonight, you could enjoy the spa facilities in the hotel or pampering in-room hot spring facilities. (Please bring along your swim wear and cap.) Relive your childhood memories by joining in releasing heavenly lanterns activity (subject to weather condition) or enjoy a native dance performance. Overnight stay at Luminus Hot Spring Resort & Spa (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch: Taiwanese-style seafood meal / Dinner at hotel)
DAY 5
Enjoy a leisure drive to Hualien and be awed by the stunning coastal scenery of East Rift Valley along the way. Continue to visit Taroko Gorge, one of the world’s greatest natural wonders, marvel at the spectacular features in Swallow Cave. Next, visit the Marble Factory where you will have a chance to view the unique marble sculptures. After dinner, you are free to enjoy the hotel facilities. Overnight stay at Promised Land Resort (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch: Hualien healthy meal / Dinner at hotel)
DAY 6
After breakfast, make a stop at Puyuan Specialty Store. Then take a scenic train to Chiufen, the fi lming site of movie ‘Sad City’. Continue to Taipei in the afternoon, where we will drive pass Taipei 101 - the world’s second tallest building. End your day at Shihlin Night Market where you can indulge in a wide variety of local snacks. Overnight stay at Brother Hotel (or similar). (Breakfast)
DAY 7
Today, witness the splendid collection of Chinese imperial art treasures at National Palace Museum. En route, make a stop at the Pi-siou Art Centre. Thereafter, proceed to Martyr’s Shrine and take a picture of the guard changing ceremony which is held every hour. Next, visit CKS Memorial Hall, which was erected in memory of the late R.O.C. president. En route, visit the Oolong Tea Centre. End your day at Ximenting, the epicenter of Taiwan’s youth culture. Overnight stay at Brother Hotel (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch: Shark’s fin set menu)
DAY 8
After breakfast, you will be free till departure transfer for your flight back home. We hope you had an enjoyable and memorable time with SA Tours! (Breakfast) Note: Packed breakfast will be provided for passengers leaving by morning flight.
