Your vacation begins with a pleasant flight to Taipei – The Capital of Taiwan. Upon arrival, transfer to Ilan, going through Hsuehshan Tunnel which is considered a marvel of civil engineering and human perseverance. You will visit Ilan Leisure Farm, where you could experience the fun of staying in a traditional Taiwanese leisure farm and relive your childhood by joining in activities like releasing “Heavenly lanterns” (subject to weather condition), dumpling making and spinning tops. Overnight stay at Shangrila Leisure Farm (or similar). (Meals on board / Dinner: Farmer specialty meal)
This morning, you may discover the farm by walking in the orchard and enjoy fruit picking (at your own expense). Proceed to King Car Whisky Distillery. We will visit the production line and savor the smell of whiskey. Continue to Chiufen, the filming site of movie ‘Sad City’. After that, return to Taipei and witness the splendid collection of Chinese imperial art treasures at National Palace Museum. Overnight stay at local 5-star Lakeshore Hotel (or similar). (Please bring along your swim wear and cap to enjoy the hotel facilities.) (Breakfast / Dinner at hotel)
Today, great fun and excitement awaits you at the Leofoo Village Theme Park. Enjoy the unlimited rides at the four different theme areas: Arabian Kingdom, African Safari, Wild West and South Pacific. Get yourself ready for the excitement of wild animals in the African Safari. In the afternoon, experience the fun of fruit (tomato) picking at Chin-Yong DIY Recreational Farm (at your own expense). You may also have the chance to pick Strawberry (Dec 20 - Feb) or Cucumber (May-Nov) etc. (subject to seasonality and availability). Next, visit the popular night market in Kaohsiung - Liuhe Night Market, which is known for its vast variety of local snacks. Overnight stay at Hotel Kingdom (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch)
Enjoy a leisurely drive to Nantou. Visit Chung Tai Chan Monastery. It is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan, widely admired as an architectural masterpiece because of its modern look. Be mesmerized by the beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake. Take a walk along the Lakeside Trail and embark on a pleasant cruise. Next, we will visit the famous Wenwu Temple that is of an imposing structure, and was built to commemorate “Confucius” and “Kuan Gong”. Make a stop at the Mao’s House Lingzhi Specialty Stores before proceeding to Taichung. End the day at Fengjia Night Market and indulge in a wide variety of local snacks. Overnight stay at Debao Business Hotel (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch at Sun Moon Lake local 5-star Fleur de Chine Hotel)
This morning, visit Martyr’s Shrine. Take a picture of the guard changing ceremony which is held hourly. Make a stop at Pi-siou Arts Centre. Thereafter, proceed to Eastern Villa (or similar). In addition to enjoying the natural scenery, you will take a soothing and skin-pampering soak in the carbonic hot spring. (Please bring along your swim wear and cap.) Overnight stay at Eastern Villa (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch: Hai Pa Wang steamboat buffet / Dinner at resort)
After breakfast, have a relaxing time in the resort before we visit CKS Memorial Hall, of which the architecture is inspired by Tientam in Beijing and the great building has become a landmark of Taipei. Make a stop at Oolong Tea Centre and learn more about tea processing. After lunch, indulge in a shopping spree at Taipei 101, the world’s second tallest skyscraper. Thereafter, proceed to the bustling East District, where you can enjoy shopping and indulge your taste buds with the wide range of cuisines. Have a good time in Ximenting, the epicenter of Taiwan’s youth culture. Overnight stay at Holiday Inn Hotel (or similar). (Breakfast / Lunch: Set meal at King Queen Garden)
