Your vacation begins with a pleasant flight to Taipei – The Capital of Taiwan. Upon arrival, transfer to Ilan, going through Hsuehshan Tunnel which is considered a marvel of civil engineering and human perseverance. You will visit Ilan Leisure Farm, where you could experience the fun of staying in a traditional Taiwanese leisure farm and relive your child hood by joining in activities like releasing “Heavenly lanterns” (subject to weather condition), making dumpling and spinning tops. Overnight stay at Shangrila or Pei Kuan Leisure Farm (or similar). (Meals on board / Dinner: Farmer Specialty Meal)
This morning, you may discover the farm by walking in the orchard and enjoy fruit picking (own expenses). Proceed to King Car Whisky Distillery. We will visit the production line and savor the smell of whiskey. Continue to Chiufen, the filming site of ‘Sad City’. After that, return to Taipei and witness the splendid collection of Chinese imperial art treasures at National Palace Museum. Over night stay at 5 star Lakeshore Hotel (or similar). (Please bring along your swimming wear & cap to enjoy the hotel spa facilities) (Breakfast / Dinner at hotel)
Today, great fun and excitement awaits you at the Leofoo Village Theme Park. Enjoy the unlimited rides at the four different theme areas: Arabian Kingdom, African Safari, Wild West and South Pacific. Get yourself ready for the excitement of wild animals in the African Safari. In the afternoon, experience the fun of fruit (tomato) picking at Chin-Yong DIY Recreational Farm (own expenses). You may also have the chance to pick Strawberry (Dec-May), Cucumber (May-Nov) and Corn (May-Jul), etc. (subject to weather condition).Before dinner, we will visit the famous Chihkan Tower that was built in 1653 by the Dutch. (Breakfast / Dinner: State Banquet of Tainan Snacks)
Enjoy a leisurely drive to Nantou. Visit Chung Tai Chan Monastery. It is one of the largest Buddhist monasteries in Taiwan, widely admired as an architectural masterpiece because of its modern look. Be mesmerized by the beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake. Take a walk along the Lakeside Trial and embark on a pleasant cruise. Next, we’ll visit the famous Wenwu Temple that is of an imposing structure, and was built to commemorate “Confucius” and “Kuan Gong”. Make a stop at the Mao’s House Lingzhi Specialty Stores before proceed to Taichung. End the day at Fengjia Night Market and indulge in a wide variety of local snacks. (Breakfast/Lunch: Sun Moon Lake Aboriginal Cuisine)
This morning, visit Martyr’s Shrine. Take a picture of the guard changing ceremony which is held every hour. Make a stop at Pi-siou Arts Centre. Thereafter, proceed to the Great Roots Forestry Spa Resort. In addition to enjoying the natural scenery, you will take a soothing and skin-pampering soak the in carbonic hot spring (Please bring along your swimming wear and cap). ******Do not miss the Cherry Blossoms Festival. In March, cherry blossoms in full in the village, filled with romance and happiness(Subject to weather condition).******
After breakfast, have a relaxing time in the Resort before we go to visit CKS Memorial Hall, of which the architecture is inspired by Tientam in Beijing and the great building has become a landmark of Taipei Make a stop at Oolong Tea Centre and learn more about tea processing. After lunch, indulge in a great shopping spree at Taipei 101, the world’s second tallest skyscraper. Have a good time in Ximenting, the epicenter of Taiwan’s youth culture. The day ends at the city’s largest night market – Shihlin Night Market where you can enjoy a fun time shopping and tasting delicious Taiwanese snacks. (Breakfast / Lunch: Set Meal at the King Queen Garden )
After breakfast, you will be free till departure transfer for your flight back home. If time permits, why not visit the Taipei 2010 International Flora EXPO (before 25Apr 2011).We hope you had an enjoyable and memorable time with SA Tours!
