DAY 1
Assemble at Changi International Airport for your fl ight to Seoul, capital of the “Land of Modern Miracles and Ancient Traditions”. (Meals On Board)
DAY 2
Upon arrival at Incheon International Airport, you will be welcomed by our tour guide who will show you the wonders of Korea. We shall proceed to Kimpo Domestic Airport for our short fl ight to Jeju Island, widely known as the “Honeymoon Island”, known for its romantic tropical settings. At our fi rst stop Seongup Folk Village, have a look at the traditional houses seen in the olden times. Our next stop is Seongsan Sunrise Peak, a volcanic crater hill offering a splendid view by the coast. Thereafter, proceed to Mysterious Road to experience the phenomenon of going uphill with the vehicle engine turned off! Continue to visit Yongduam Dragon Rock, one of the most unusual lava formations! It looks like a roaring dragon rising from the sea into the sky, hence its name. Tonight, visit Jeju’s most popular shopping street TopDong Street. (Lunch/Dinner)
DAY 3
After breakfast, proceed to the Teddy Bear Museum, the fi lming site of famous Korean drama “Princess Hour”. Next, you will have the chance to experience Horse Riding. Continuing on, we will watch a show named ‘Nanta’. ‘Nanta’ is a non-verbal performance based on the rhythms of samullori (traditional Korean percussion) which is unique to Korea. The Korea Tourism Organization designates this show as one of the ‘Ten Things to See in Korea’. Next stop is Trick Art Museum, the fi rst museum in Korea to show optical illusion art. Exhibitions on walls and fl oors are rendered in three dimensions. You can take pictures with various fun poses blending nicely with the exhibitions. Continue on to Glass Castle,a glass art theme park. There are six themed model parks, in which over two hundred and fi fty models are exhibited. These include the world’s very fi rst all-glass labyrinth, the world’s largest glass ball and largest glass diamond, a glass stonewall, a mirror lake, and a glass bridge etc. Next, proceed to The Chocolate Museum, the second largest chocolate museum in the world. Built using volcanic scoria, the museum looks like an ancient castle. You can see the chocolate-making process and also taste the hand-made chocolates (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
DAY 4
(Autumn)-- Rise and shine to a new day as we make our way to the domestic airport to take a fl ight to Kimpo. Upon arrival, set off to the breathtaking Mount Sorak National Park, whose beauty is accented by its granite peaks, lush green valleys and dense forests. Ascend to the summit by cable car (subject to weather conditions) for a panoramic view of Mt Sorak. Walk up the impressive Kwon Kum Seong Fortress, which commands an excellent view of the Outer Sorak region. Next stop is the fascinating Shinhungsa Temple where you can fi nd an 18-metre bronze fi gure of the Unifi cation for Peace Buddha. Next, take a leisurely drive to Yongpyong Dragon Valley for the night, the fi lming site of the famous Korean Drama – “Winter Sonata”. (Breakfast/Lunch)----------------------------------------------------------------*For departures EX-SIN from 16th November 2011 to 16th March 2012, itinerary will run as follows for DAY 4: DAY 4 JEJU - YONGPYONG DRAGON VALLEY Rise and shine to a new day as we make our way to the domestic airport to take a fl ight to Kimpo. Upon arrival, take a leisurely drive to Yongpyong Dragon Valley Ski Resort which is gifted with the natural conditions for skiing, with an average of 250cm snowfall each year. With 31 ski slopes as wide as 180 metres, it also has the longest gondola in Asia. Upon arrival, brace yourself for a wonderful and exhilarating snow experience. Do not miss out on this fabulous opportunity to try out skiing - full set of ski suit and ski equipment will be provided. Your guide will guide you through the fi ner points of this exciting winter sport. Take your time to master the strokes or simply play with the snow and take great photographs. Children can have a fun and thrilling snow sledge ride on the slope. (Breakfast)
DAY 5
After breakfast, we will make our way to Korean Traditional Centre where you can learn hands on how to make Kimchi. Do not miss the opportunity to take photos of yourself dressed in the Korean Traditional Costume - Hanbok. Next, prepare yourself for a fun time at Yasan Farm (Agroland), where lots of farm activities are waiting for you like tractor orientation tour around the farm, calf feeding, cow milking and the chance to hand make and taste Korean ice-cream. After which, proceed to Deoksan Spa Castle where there are different varieties of spa facilities, offering hot springs from all over of the world and outdoor leisure activities. Its spa uses only pure Deoksan mineral water. (Please bring own swim suit and cap) *(Note: in the event Deoksan Spa is under annual maintenance alternative Spa will be use) (Breakfast/Lunch)
DAY 6
This morning, proceed to Yongin Everland (All Rides Passport), a magical world of natural beauty and fairy tales awaits you. A huge theme park that houses a zoo, botanical gardens,amusement park with many different kinds of thrilling rides sure to send thrills up your spine. For thrill-seekers, take on the challenge of the Amazon Express water adventure, the Suspended Roller-coaster or the Double Loop and Cork Screw Coaster. Next, proceed to Nature Republic where you will be given a skin care course and will be able to purchase some of Nature Republic’s cosmetic products. Next, we depart for Sinchon Fashion Alley, nicknamed as “Korea’s Ladies Street”, one of the famous shopping haunts for young females. Next will be a hands-on experience at Ice Gallery, where you will have a chance to create you own masterpiece of an Ice Mug or Cup. The last highlight for today will be Dongdaemun Market for shopping! It’s Asia’s largest shopping district and has recently become the largest apparel shopping area for Koreans. (Breakfast/Dinner)
DAY 7
After breakfast, we’ll make our way to Ginseng Monopoly showroom for you to purchase what is hailed as the world’s best ancient tonic elixir and stamina builder – Korean Ginseng. Next will be the Amethyst factory where you can fi nd locally produced purple gemstones at a bargain. Next stop will be Korean’s well known Bo Kan Showroom, which is believed to be good for your health and also improves your immune system. Next visit the Sea Weed Showroom, where you will be able to understand the process of sea weed making and also have the chance to taste the sea weed. Next visit Star Avenue, a comprehensive entertainment spot for experiencing the Korean Wave and Korean celebrities. The last highlight for today will be Myongdong Fashion Street, one of the most fashionable shopping streets in Seoul where you can shop to your heart’s content. The last highlight for today will be LotteWorld Adventure Park (All Rides Passport). Spend your time enjoying the live entertainment, thrilling rides in both indoor and outdoor theme parks or simply explore quaint shops found throughout the vast grounds. (Breakfast/Lunch)
DAY 8
This morning, there is time for some last minute shopping before we bid farewell to the city of Seoul and transfer to the airport for your fl ight home. We hope you have had an enjoyable and memorable vacation with SA Tours. (Breakfast/Meals On Board)
