Your vacation begins with a pleasant flight to Delhi, the political and administrative centre of the world’s largest democracy country, India.
Upon arrival Delhi, leave for Agra, the city of emperors. The city achieved greatness first under the Mughals, and particularly the emperors Akbar (1556-1605), Jahangir (1605-1627) and Shah Jahan (1628-1658). After lunch, we will visit Agra Fort which Emperor Akbar constructed the 2.4km surrounding walls with fire-red local sandstone linked by iron rings.
After breakfast, we will visit Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World built by Shah Jahan to immortalize his love for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal in 1631. After lunch, we will leave for Jaipur. Along the journey, we will stop at Fatehpur Sikri, Emperor Akbar’s imperial capital. Fatehpur, “town of victory” which well-preserved remains include the palace and the royal mosque is a masterpiece in sandstone.
After breakfast, we will visit Amber, once the capital of the Minas. We will take jeep ride up the hill to Amber Fort to admire massive gateways, pillared pavilions and palaces that recall the glory and wealth of Amber’s association with the Mughals. On the way back, drive pass the famous Hawa Mahal, which also called Palace of the Wind. It is an extraordinary façade of 953 airy niches and windows, used by the women of the palace to watch the outside world of streets below. Afternoon, we will visit City Palace, the residence of Jaipur’s royal family and Jantar Mantar, the astronomical observatory which all the 16 instruments have their specific role of tracing the movements of stars and planets.
This day, we will depart for Delhi. After lunch we will visit to Akshardham Temple, World’s Largest Comprehensive Hindu Temple certified by Guinness World Record. It was consecrated on November 2005 and showcases the essence of India’s ancient architecture, traditions and timeless spiritual messages. If time permits, we will do some shopping in Connaught Place which is lined with shops, restaurants, street stalls and cinemas.

SINGAPORE - DELHI

DAY 2
DELHI – AGRA
