DAY 1

SINGAPORE - ROME

Our vacation starts with a pleasant flight to the capital of Italy - Rome. (Meals on Board)


DAY 2

ROME

Upon arrival, embark on our sightseeing tour of Rome city - first stop to view the Colosseum, one of the most magnificent monuments of ancient Rome. Built in 72AD, it used to seat 50,000 spectators and was the chief circus of the Roman Empire where gladiatorial battles and other cruel glories were held. Next, see the Roman Forum and Piazza Venezia before we stop at Trevi Fountain, one of the main filming sites of "Triumph in the Skies", where one can make a wish by throwing a coin into the fountain. Proceed to St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City, the administrative and spiritual capital of Roman Catholicism. See the famous 'Pieta' by Michelangelo and works of art by many other Italian artists. (Meals on Board/Lunch/Dinner)


DAY 3

ROME - FLORENCE - TUSCANY REGION

This morning, a scenic drive towards Tuscany, past the region of Chianti, where famous Italian wines are produced to the staggering riches of Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, begin our tour with a photo stop at Ponte Vecchio, and enjoy the sculptures alongside the walls of Uffizi Gallery before proceeding with our walking tour to the 3rd largest cathedral in the Catholic world - Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. Not to be missed is the Door of Paradise at the Baptistery of St Giovanni, which took Ghilberti 27 years to finish! Continue with the walking tour to Piazza della Signoria, the lordship square, where we can see sculptures done by various famous Italian artists. As we pass by Loggia dei Lanzi, it is as if one is walking past a walk-in arts gallery. This evening, overnight in the Tuscany region. (Breakfast/Italian Dinner)


DAY 4

TUSCANY REGION - PISA - VENICE (MESTRE)

Today, travel towards the historic university city of Pisa, famous for its architectural beauty. Proceed with our guided tour to Piazza dei Miracoli where you will find the celebrated Leaning Tower, the Cathedral - an unequalled masterpiece of Romanesque art, and the Baptistery. Later, travel through the fertile, picturesque Tuscan countryside. Arrive at one of the most romantic cities in Italy - Venice, a fabulous city of canals, gondolas and beautiful places erected on an archipelago of islands and characterized by its canals. Overnight in the Mestre area of Venice. (Breakfast/Dinner)


DAY 5

VENICE (MESTRE) - MILAN

This morning, board a water taxi to Venice island. Visit St Mark's Square, bordered by St Mark’s Basilica, the pink and white Doges' Palace and the Bell Tower. A photo stop at the celebrated Bridge of Sighs before visiting a Glass Blowing factory, where richly coloured Venetian glass is made to world class standard. You may consider to hop onto a gondola to tour the canals (under own expense). After which, proceed to the fashion capital of Italy - Milan. (Breakfast/Dinner)


DAY 6

MILAN - INTERLAKEN

This morning, you will be free at leisure to embark on a shopping spree in the various signature boutiques in Milan. Thereafter, a leisurely drive crossing the Swiss borders to Interlaken, a Bernese Oberland resort beautifully situated between two sparkling lakes and beneath the towering Jungfrau. Marvel at the great splendours and glories of nature surrounding this pretty town! (Breakfast/Swiss Fondue Dinner)


DAY 7

INTERLAKEN

Today, you are free at leisure to enjoy this spectacular holiday resort situated in the heart of the Swiss Alps. Simply relax and enjoy a scenic feast of snow-capped peaks, or you may like to take an optional tour to the “Top of Europe” Jungfraujoch by a spectacular train ride. (Breakfast)


DAY 8

INTERLAKEN - MT TITLIS - LUCERNE

This morning, drive to the beautiful town of Engelberg for a series of cable cars to Mount Titlis, an unique glacier paradise, with panoramic views at 10,000 feet above sea level. Continue to Switzerland's largest city, Lucerne. In Lucerne, see the Lion Monument that is carved from a limestone cliff to commemorate the bravery of the Swiss Guards during the French Revolution. Visit the 14th Century covered wooden Chapel Bridge, which depicts the local history. Afterwich, you are at leisure to shop for fine Swiss products like chocolate, music boxes, Swiss knives, and Rolex watches, or stroll through the streets of fine 15th and 16th Century houses. You may like to visit Bucherer, Europe’s number one shop for watches and jewellery, and pick up a free souvenir. (Breakfast/Dinner)


DAY 9

LUCERNE - PARIS

Bid farewell to mesmerizing Switzerland as we travel to the capital of France - Paris. In the evening, you may like to join an optional tour to the world renowned "Moulin Rouge", a typical French Can-Can Revue with all its fun. colour and excitement! (Breakfast)


DAY 10

PARIS

This morning, tour the city of Paris, starting with the glorious Arc de Triomphe erected by Napoleon in 1806 as a memorial to his victorious battles. Since 1919, it has become a National Monument to the Unknown Soldiers of France. Situated on a small hill with 12 avenues radiating like rays of lights from a star, the area was aptly named Place L’Etoile. Our drive continues down the Champs-Élysées, which was laid in the 17th Century before arriving at Place de la Concorde, one of the largest squares in the world. Ascend up to the 2nd level of Eiffel Tower, which has become an enduring symbol of the city of Paris. Continue with our tour as you enjoy sights of the Notre Dame Cathedral and Louvre Museum’s famous glass pyramids. (Breakfast/Lunch)


DAY 11

PARIS - SINGAPORE

Bid Au Revoir to France with our departure transfer to the airport for our fl ight back to Singapore. We hope that you have had an enjoyable time with SA Tours! (Breakfast/Meals on Board)
