DAY 1

SINGAPORE – MILAN

Our vacation starts with a pleasant flight to the financial and fashion centre of Italy, Milan.

DAY 2

MILAN

Upon arrival, embark on the Milan sightseeing to see its gothic Duomo, the 19th century Victor Emmanuelle II Galleria and famous La Scala Opera House. Then it’s free at leisure, you may want to shop at one of the world’s first shopping malls.

DAY 3

MILAN – ITALIAN LAKES DISTRICT

Bid farewell to the fashionable city of Milan, as you travel towards the northern part of Italy, taking in the breath-taking scenery as you travel towards Lake Como, located in the Italian Lakes region. The area is graced with a charm and beauty of pre-alps, beautiful valleys and the sparkling lakes.

DAY 4

ITALIAN LAKES DISTRICT – VENICE (MESTRE)

Today, continue on to one of the most romantic cities in Italy - Venice, a fabulous city of canals, gondolas and beautiful places erected on an archipelago of islands and characterized by its canals, where one may savour the sights and sounds of this bustling port. Board a water taxi to St Mark’s Square and catch sights of St Mark’s Basilica, the pink and white Doges' Palace and the celebrated Bridge of Sighs. Stop at one of the fine Glass Blowing factories where richly coloured Venetian glass is made to world class standard. Overnight in the Mestre area of Venice.

DAY 5

VENICE (MESTRE) – PISA – TUSCANY REGION

This morning, we head towards Pisa. Upon arrival, commence our sightseeing by walking to the “Square of Miracles” to appreciate the famous trio and wonderful artistry of the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Baptistery and the Duomo. We proceed to the Tuscany Region for overnight stay. (Breakfast / Florentine Steak Dinner)


DAY 6

TUSCANY REGION – FLORENCE – TUSCANY REGION

A scenic drive past the region of Chianti, where famous Italian wines are produced to the staggering riches of Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, begin our tour with a photo stop at Ponte Vecchio, and enjoy the sculptures alongside the walls of Uffizi Gallery before proceeding with our walking tour to the 3rd largest cathedral in the Catholic world, Santa Maria del Fiore, whose building’s vastness yet sobriety and simple furnishings will leave a strong impression on many. View the Door of Paradise at the Baptistery of St Giovanni, which took Ghilberti 27 years to finish! Continue with the walking tour to Piazza della Signoria, the lordship square, where one can see sculptures done by various famous Italian artists. As we pass by Loggia dei Lanzi, it is as if one is walking past a walk-in arts gallery.

DAY 7

TUSCANY REGION – ROME

This morning, enjoy a shopping spree at a Designer Outlet where you can find brands at great prices. Thereafter, we proceed to the "Eternal City” of Rome. Our first stop will be at the Trevi Fountain, one of the main filming sites of “Triumph of the Skies”, where it is believed that one’s wish will come true by throwing a coin into the fountain. (Breakfast / Italian Dinner)


DAY 8

ROME – VATICAN CITY – ROME

After breakfast, proceed to St Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican City; the administrative and spiritual capital of Roman Catholicism. In the afternoon, why not join an optional tour to the Vatican Museum featuring the Sistine Chapel’s Michelangelo’s creation (subject to the opening hours)? Afterwards, embark on our sightseeing of Rome, capital of Italy, where we stop to view the Colosseum, one of the most magnificent monuments of ancient Rome. Built in 72AD, it used to seat 50,000 spectators and was the chief circus of the Roman Empire where gladiatorial battles and other cruel glories were held. Next, see the Roman Forum and Piazza Venezia if time permits.

DAY 9

ROME – SINGAPORE

Bid farewell to Italy as we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Singapore. We hope you have enjoyed a unique tour experience of Italy with SA Tours! (Breakfast / Meals On Board)
