DAY 1
Your vacation beings with a pleasant flight to Cairo – The Capital of Egypt.
DAY 2
Upon arrival, we will drive to Alexandria – the second largest city in Egypt. Visit Montazah Palace and Gardens and the Pompey’s Pillar, a red 25m granite column constructed in the honour of the Emperor Diocetian. End your day at the 15th Century Fort Qaitbey.
DAY 3
Drive back to Cairo today and enjoy a camel ride at Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Marvel at the largest Pyramid, the Great Pyramid of Cheops and also the Pyramids of Chephren and Mycerinus. If time permits, you may want to enter into the inner chamber of the pyramids at your own expenses. Thereafter, proceed to visit the famous Sphinx, which has the body of a lion and the head of a man.
DAY 4
Today, we will visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses over 100,000 relics and antiquities from the pre-historic era to the Greco-Roman period. While you are there, you may want to enter to the museum’s Royal Mummy Room at your own expenses. After lunch, drive to Hurghada.
DAY 5
Hurghada, once a simple fishing village, now offers divers, photographers and leisure seekers from all over the world opportunities to experience the abundant marine life and colourful, lavish coral reefs of the Red Sea. This morning, embark on an exciting desert safari trip and visit the Bedouin Village to learn more about the nomad lifestyle.
DAY 6
Enjoy a leisurely drive to Luxor and make a stop at Temple of Luxor, which was built during Amenhotep II’s reign and is distinctive with 6 looming statues of Pharaoh Rameses II at the entrance. Thereafter, embark on the Nile Cruise. Note: Stay overnight on board the Nile cruise.
DAY 7
This morning, proceed to visit Karnak Temple, which is dedicated to the god Amon and his family. Then, visit the Valley of the Kings which contains 64 tombs belonging to the pharaohs from 18th, 19th and 20th Dynasties. If time permits, why not take a scenic hot air balloon flight at your own expenses. End your day at Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Note: Stay overnight on board the Nile cruise.
DAY 8
Enjoy a horse carriage ride before visiting the Temple of Horus in Edfu, which lies halfway between Luxor and Aswan on the site of the ancient city of Djeba. Next, continue sailing to Kom Ombo and make a stop at the famous Temple of Kom Ombo. This beautiful temple is dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god and Horus, the sun god. Note: Stay overnight on board the Nile cruise.
DAY 9
Start the day with a visit to Aswan High Dam, built to control flooding in the Nile. Make an excursion to the Granite Quarries and be awed by the structure of the Unfinished Obelisk. Next, sail in the traditional felucca (subject to weather conditions) along the Nile River and enjoy a motorboat ride (subject to weather conditions) to the Island of Philae where the Temple of Philae originally stood. Note: Stay overnight on board the Nile cruise. The places of interest visited in Aswan/Kom Ombo/Edfu may vary according to the cruise schedule.
DAY 10
After breakfast, disembark the cruise and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Make an excursion to visit Abu Simbel (Optional) at your own expenses. Be amazed by the 4 colossal statues of Rameses II. If time permits, you may also want to visit the Nubian Village and learn about the lifestyle of Nubians. This evening, transfer to the train station and catch an overnight sleeper train back to Cairo. Note: Sleeper train accommodation is strictly based on twin sharing only. Shower facilities are not available on overnight train.
DAY 11
Begin today’s sightseeing with a visit to Memphis, a capital of ancient Egypt. Its ruins are the remains of gigantic palaces and temples that once stood there. Next, travel to Sakkara to view the Step Pyramid of Zoser I, dating from 2686BC, the oldest in the world. Then, enjoy great shopping opportunities at Khan Al Khalili, a bustling bazaar.
DAY 12
After breakfast, you will be free till departure transfer for your flight back home. We hope you had an enjoyable and memorable time with SA Tours!

Remarks: Due to local /religious festivals, and unforeseen circumstances, the sequence of itinerary is subject to change with/without prior notice. Tour is conducted in English.
