Your vacation begins with a pleasant fl ight to Adelaide – the capital of South Australia and Australia’s most charming city. (Meals on board)
Upon arrival, embark on an Adelaide City Tour which highlighting the North Terrace, the cultural boulevard of the city, St Peter’s Cathedral, the Chinatown, and the oldest fresh produce market - Central Market. Continue your tour to Hahndorf and discover the culture of Australia’s oldest German settlement. Stroll under the Elm trees along the Hahndorf’s main street or shop in heritage buildings for local arts and crafts or taste traditional German delicacies. Next, make a stop at Beerenberg Strawberry Farm where you will have a chance to purchase jams, pickles, chutneys, mustards, marinades and sauces from old Hahndorf recipes. Enjoy a guided tour at Lyndoch Lavender Farm to sample some unique range of lavender products before proceeding to Melba’s Chocolates and Confectionary where you can wander around the fi ve production rooms and watch a traditional range of sweets and chocolates being made using historic machinery in the old fashioned way. You can enjoy factory prices on a large range of sweets, chocolates, giftware and souvenirs over here. Then, set off to Seppelt Winery for a winery tour and a wine-tasting session. Before returning back to Adelaide, we will make a stop at the Whispering Wall, which has a remarkable acoustic phenomenon that is when messages whispered at one side can be heard clearly at the other side. (Lunch/Dinner) Note: Melba’s Chocolates & Confectionary, Beerenberg Strawberry Farm & Lyndoch Lavender Farm are closed on Sunday, Public Holidays and factory closedown times. Blooming of Lavender fl ower and strawberry are subject to seasonality (Estimated December to February)
After breakfast, depart for Fleurieu Peninsula, a region noted for its rolling hills of vineyards, untouched Australian bushland, stunning beaches and dramatic coastlines. Our fi rst stop is McLaren Vale wine country. Spend sometime at the art and craft galleries or the olive and almond shops. You may also want to taste some wines at the Hardy’s Tintara wine cellar outlet, which produces the award winning wines in South Australia. Next, arrive at South Australia’s most famous coastal resort town, Victor Harbor. Take a ride on the only historic horse drawn tram in the Southern Hemisphere and across the Causeway to Granite Island - home to more than 500 pairs of fairy penguins and crannies as nesting sites. This evening, witness the little Penguins returning to their nests after their catch at sea. (Breakfast/Dinner) Note: It is advisable to wear comfortable shoes and warm jacket when visiting Granite Island.
Depart Victor Harbor on a seat-in-coach tour to Cape Jervis and catch a ferry ride to Kangaroo Island - Australian’s third largest island and renowned for its diversity and abundance of wildlife. Upon arrival, sit comfortably in the Sea Link coach and make your way to Seal Bay, home to a permanent sea lion colony. After lunch, we head down to Flinders Chase National Park. Walk along the rugged southern coastline to Remarkable Rocks, one of the island’s most recognizable natural features. The huge cluster of weather - sculptured granite boulders perched on a smooth granite dome overlooking the Southern Ocean. You may even follow the boardwalk to a cathedral - like rock bridge of Admiral’s Arch, home to a colony of playful New Zealand fur seals. Return back to Adelaide in the evening. (Breakfast/Lunch)
After breakfast, the day is free at your leisure where you can join an optional tour at your own expense to Coorong National Park or enjoy some shopping sprees at the Rundle Mall. (Breakfast)
