Arrive in Hanoi. Meet your guide and transfer to hotel. The rest of day is free at your own leisure.
Enjoy a morning city tour to visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum which was built in memory of a great man whose name is written in golden alphabets in the history of Vietnam. Next, proceed to visit famous city attractions including the Ho Chi Minh Museum, House on Stilt, One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple. Continue our journey to West Lake - the largest lake in the northwest centre of Hanoi, and visit the famous Tran Quoc Pagoda on the lake side. After lunch, visit Ethnology Museum, Literature Temple or Quoc Tu Giam, this is the first Vietnam National University which established within the temple in 1076. Next, proceed to Hoan Kiem Lake and visit Ngoc Son Temple. We will drive through the Hanoi Old Quarter before beginning our free explorer. (B, L) (Remark: On Monday and Friday morning, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Ethnic museums are closed - Bat Trang Pottery Village will be arranged as substitution. )
After breakfast, depart for Ha Long, en-route; enjoy the scenic drive to Ha Long city. Upon arrival, we will have lunch before going for a cruise along the emerald green waters of Halong Bay among the spectacular limestone island, visit Thien Cung cave or Sungsot cave. Next, be transferred back to Hanoi. (B, L)
Have breakfast at hotel. We will transfer to Noi Bai airport for domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Be met by our representative at Tan Son Nhat Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. (B)
After breakfast at hotel, leave Ho Chi Minh for Cu Chi tunnels. Cu Chi is considered as a heroic district for its role in the anti - American war in Vietnam. It is legendary for its tunnels system of over 220km and is a popular spot for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors. Here you will have the opportunity to witness how rice paper is made and have the chance to explore the amazing labyrinth of tunnels used by the guerrillas during the war. In the early afternoon, you will return to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer back to hotel. You may take this free time to visit tourist attractions, such as Notre Dame Cathedral, General Post Office. (B)
After breakfast, take a boat ride through the Bao Dinh natural canal where you will get to view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river sides. You will visit the My Tho wholesale fruit market before proceeding to the Tortoise Island. After lunch, experience a boat ride through the Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit a local family where you can experience the agricultural lifestyle. Trekking through the fruit plantation in Thoi Son Island, enjoy the rowing boat ride along the creeks before returning to My Tho by motorised boat. We will visit the flower garden before departing back to Ho Chi Minh City. (B, L)
