DAY 1
Welcome to Amsterdam! Relax and unwind after check-in or take a leisurely stroll through this unique city. Tonight, meet with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a candlelit Welcome Reception aboard a canal cruiser and see Amsterdam from a different perspective! DAY 2
Amsterdam is a fascinating city which boasts art, architecture, canals, museums, bicycles and charming side streets. Start your day with an orientation featuring Mint Tower, Dam Square and Museum Square. Admire Rembrandt’s masterpiece ‘Nightwatch’ during your small group sightseeing tour of the Rijksmuseum, one of the worlds most prestigious art museums. Later visit a diamond polishing factory to discover many interesting facts about these precious gems. Explore Amsterdam further by using your included hop-on hop-off city sightseeing ticket. During the flowering season (April until mid-May), a visit to Keukenhof will be included. Several million flowering bulbs planted across a 70-acre site will make this a spectacular visit. DAY 3
Immerse yourself in all things botanical during your visit to the world-famous Floriade Horticultural exhibition. Held every 10 years, the Floriade is a rare opportunity for you to engage in a global spectacle featuring over 100 exhibitors showcasing their horticultural expertise! Meal(s): (Buffet Breakfast)
DAY 4
Marvel at some of Van Gogh’s most famous works with an included visit to the Kröller–Müller Museum. In Apeldoorn, visit the 17th century Het Loo Palace featuring beautiful formal gardens. Stop in Staphorst – one of the country's most religious towns – on the way to your hotel in Groningen. Meal(s): (Buffet Breakfast) Hotel: Mercure Martini Plaza (F)
DAY 5
After a leisurely start to the day enjoy a guided bicycle tour of the city with interesting facts and anecdotes from your guide. Spend free time afterwards exploring on your own. This evening, join your companions for a memorable Be My Guest dinner of delicious Dutch specialities. Meal(s): (Buffet Breakfast / Be My Guest dinner)
DAY 6
A scenic drive through the spectacular Frisian Lake District brings you to Bolsward and Workum. Continue along the Afsluitdijk to Volendam via the cheese-making village of Edam where you stop for a short orientation. This afternoon visit Zaanse Schans where a local expert explains how wooden clogs and Dutch cheese are made. Tonight in Amsterdam, celebrate with your fellow travellers at a Farewell Dinner. DAY 7
