DAY 1
Assemble at Changi airport for your flight to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for your rest.
DAY 2
After breakfast, head to Hezhou and visit HuangYao Ancient Town. It covers 36 hectares and holds more than 2,800 residents belonging to 500 households. Most of its streets and distinctive structures took shape during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty. The isolated location shielded the town from the impact of modern civilization and manmade degradation, and helped to preserve the ancient dwellings and historic landmarks therein. Lastly, visit Hezhou Square to feel the life and culture of Hezhou.
DAY 3
After breakfast, proceed to the venue of the ASEAN Council (view exterior). You will continue on to Lipu where you will visit Yinzi Cave, a very impressive underground network of caves with amazing stalactites and stalagmites penetrating through twelve hills, and has a run-length of about 2000 meters. It is known as a ‘world wonder cave’ by geologists. Next, proceed to Yangshuo and visit a Special Street, ‘West Street’. It is modern and fashionable, nearly every store has bilingual shop signs, and more than 20 stores have been opened by foreigners who have settled here. After that, enjoy the show ‘Impression Liu Sanjie’ (own expense) which is produced by the renowned director, Zhang Yimou.
DAY 4
Today, you will take a boat tour of Xingping Fishing Village. Lying on the east bank of the Li River upstream from Yangshuo, Xingping fishing village has a history dating back more than 500 years. Founded during the Ming Dynasty in 1506, this picturesque village is infused with typical Lingnan or southeastern Chinese provincial culture. Drive to Guilin and visit “YaoShan Mountain” (by cable car). It received its name from a Yao emperor temple, which was built atop the mountain in the Tang dynasty. Each season offers a different view.
DAY 5
After breakfast, enjoy the scenery along the way to Longsheng. Longsheng is famous due to the Jingche Terrace. Terraces can be one of the world cultural heritages, because it represents the traditional Chinese farming culture. You will also enjoy the Zhuang Ethnic family residences to understand ethnic culture and folklore. After this, drive back to Guilin.
DAY 6
In the morning, visit the famous Ten Hills (by cruise). You will visit Elephant Trunk Hill, regarded as the main symbol of Guilin. About two kilometers from Elephant Trunk Hill and above the western bank of Li River Scenery, there is Fubo Hill, another of Guilin’s wonderfully scenic spots. Then, visit Rongshan Lake Scenic Area. It’s a scenic spot which features traditional Chinese landscape with terraces, towers, pavilions, ancient city gates, historical ruins, a ten-thousand year old banyan tree, and Jiuqu Bridge etc. At night, enjoy the performance of large panoramic landscapes – ‘Dreamlike Lijiang’ (own expense). It showcases the perfect combination of ballet and acrobatics performances. Then, visit Jingjiang Palace, the official residence of Prince Jingjiang of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is a miniature of the Forbidden City. At the end coach to Nanning where you can shop at Nanning Shopping Street.
DAY 7
After breakfast, visit Detian Waterfall, said to be Asia's largest transnational waterfall because it is shared by both China and Vietnam. Surrounded by picturesque karst peaks (more famously present in places like Guilin in China, Phang-nga Bay in Thailand and Halong Bay in Vietnam), this is definitely one of the most scenic waterfalls in the country.
DAY 8
After breakfast, visit Nanhu Lake Park and Nanning Museum. Then, transfer to the airport and take a domestic flight to Guangzhou where a local guide will pick you up and you will then take the flight back to Singapore.
